Planning a trip should feel exciting … not overwhelming. Below are answers to some of the most common questions about working with PUNT Travel, what’s included, and how the process flows.
If you are still wondering about something specific, don’t hesitate to reach out – I am always happy to connect!

My trip is in less than 30 days, can you still help?
Yes! There will probably be a rush fee applied – but let’s discuss!
Are hotel bookings really free?
Yep! When you book with PUNT Travel through a preferred partner. Through Fora Travel, PUNT Travel has access to the majority of top hotel brands and smaller brands around the world (think: Four Seasons, Rosewood, Belmond, Small Luxury Hotels, and more), so you’ll often receive VIP perks like complimentary breakfast, room upgrades, early check-in, late check-out, and spa or dining credits – at no extra cost to you.
Already have a property in mind? Great! I’ll handle the booking and see what perks I can unlock to make your stay even better.
Do I need travel insurance?
While it’s not required, I strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment. Many trip components are non-refundable, and a comprehensive policy can help cover things like trip cancellations, delays, lost luggage, medical emergencies, and more.
*** Travel insurance can be arranged through PUNT Travel. Please note that you’ll be responsible for filing any claims directly with the insurer, and I’m not able to guarantee coverage or outcomes once a claim is submitted.
What is a travel advisor and why should I use one?
Think of a travel advisor as your behind-the-scenes partner, advocate, and guide. At PUNT Travel, I combine personal experience, trusted industry relationships, and insider tools to create trips that feel seamless, elevated, and entirely tailored to you.
I don’t just book flights and hotels, I help you navigate the entire process with intention. From matching you with the right properties and experiences to unlocking perks like room upgrades, spa credits, complimentary breakfast, and VIP treatment, my job is to make sure every detail feels thoughtful and stress-free.
And if something unexpected comes up while you’re away? You’ve got someone in your corner. I’m here to take care of the logistics, so you can stay present in the moment – and fully enjoy the journey.
What is your policy on cancellations and refunds?
Cancellation policies vary depending on the travel partners involved, such as airlines, hotels, tour operators, transfers, and ticketed experiences. I’ll always communicate those policies clearly so you know what to expect. Any fees related to cancellations or changes will be your responsibility and are determined by the specific supplier.
**Please note: planning fees are non-refundable once trip planning has begun, even if your travel plans are changed, postponed, or canceled.
What types of travel do you specialize in?
I specialize in boutique luxury, wellness getaways, adventure travel, and curated experiences for individuals, couples, groups, and special occasions. Each trip is personalized to match your travel style and goals.
Will I receive a detailed itinerary and documents?
Yes! You’ll receive a complete set of travel documents—including your itinerary, hotel confirmations, transportation details, and any applicable tickets.
** Once received, it’s important that you review everything carefully to make sure names, dates, times, and other key details are accurate. If you notice anything that needs correcting, please reach out right away so I can help address it promptly.
What makes your travel planning different from booking online?
I offer deeply personalized service, expert recommendations, and exclusive perks you won’t find online—like room upgrades, spa credits, and VIP experiences. Think of me as your travel concierge and advocate from start to finish.
Can you help with wellness retreats or health-focused travel?
Absolutely. With a background in wellness, I thoughtfully curate trips that prioritize rest, renewal, and balance—whether it’s a yoga retreat in Bali or a luxury spa weekend in Arizona.
What if I already know where I want to go?
Perfect! I’ll take your ideas and elevate them – adding insider recommendations, securing upgrades, and ensuring all the details are taken care of.
How do we get started?
Fill out the form via the link at the top of the page and we’ll go over your travel vision, timeline, and next steps.
Do you work with all budgets?
Absolutely. I believe incredible travel experiences can exist at every price point.
Do you help with room blocks for weddings or group events?
Absolutely. Whether it’s a destination wedding, milestone celebration, or group getaway, I’ll help you find the perfect hotel or resort for your crew. I’ll coordinate directly with the property’s sales team to secure the best rates, perks, and support—so your event feels seamless from the start.
Can you book Airbnb or VRBO stays?
PUNT Travel doesn’t book or recommend properties through Airbnb or VRBO. That said, if you’re looking for a private home or villa experience, I work with trusted partners that offer beautifully curated, professionally managed rentals—often with added perks like concierge service, housekeeping, and private chefs.
If you prefer to book an Airbnb on your own, I’m still happy to support you with custom itinerary planning, local recommendations, and on-the-ground experiences to round out your trip.
How do fees and payments work?
Planning fees with PUNT Travel are non-refundable and based on the scope of your trip – things like duration, complexity, and number of travelers. These fees will be clearly outlined for you before we begin, along with accepted payment methods. Travel planning officially begins once the planning fee has been paid in full.
Can I get a full breakdown of costs?
To ensure the best experience, I often collaborate with trusted local partners who bundle services like hotels, transfers, and tours into specially negotiated package rates. Because of how these rates are structured, pricing may be presented as a single package rather than itemized by line.
Whenever I work with on-the-ground partners, it’s done with your best interest in mind – to maximize value, streamline logistics, and enhance your overall travel experience.
What if I have issues with my passport or travel documents?
It’s the client’s responsibility to ensure all necessary travel documents—like passports, visas, and entry requirements—are valid and up to date. Most countries require that passports be valid for at least six months beyond your return date.
If you’re denied entry due to an expired passport, missing visa, or other required documentation, PUNT Travel cannot be held responsible. In these cases, any cancellations would still be subject to the standard penalties and non-refundable costs set by travel suppliers.
Can I use points or miles with your bookings?
In most cases, I don’t work directly with points or miles, but I’m happy to help guide you through the best use of them alongside your trip planning.
Do you charge a planning fee?
Some trips may include a planning or itinerary design fee depending on the complexity and customization involved. I’ll always be upfront about any costs during our initial consultation.
Can you help plan group or corporate travel?
Yes! I work with groups of all sizes – from milestone celebrations to team retreats – and can manage the logistics, accommodations, and special experiences.
What destinations do you book?
Anywhere you dream of! I plan domestic and international travel, with a focus on immersive, meaningful experiences … whether that’s Europe, the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, or a quiet escape in the U.S.
